  • Meagan Chevalier, MFT Resident

Meagan Chevalier is a Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy. She completed her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Virginia Tech University. She is also a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Meagan provides individual, couple, and family therapy from a strength-based perspective, utilizing a number of different therapeutic models to help her clients achieve their goals. Meagan thinks about the challenges and goals of her clients through a systemic lens that considers their lives within the broader context of the many people and things they exist in relation to. Meagan believes that all people are capable of change and works to build a meaningful therapeutic relationship with her clients so that they can work together as a team to accomplish the change that makes sense to them, in the manner which best fits their personality, lifestyle, and goals

Counseling Experience

Meagan has worked at Virginia Tech's Center for Family Services in Falls Church, VA where she was trained to provide individual, couple, and family therapy using a systemic framework. Meagan was also part of the clinical externship program at The Women's Center in Vienna, VA where she provided individual, couple, and family therapy while gaining additional training in a variety of theoretical approaches. Meagan's personal approach to therapy is strength-based, integrative, and client-centered. She takes care to utilize the therapeutic approaches that best meet her client's needs and respond most cohesively to their goals.
